Why Sherlock Tech
Security thinking, built into the installation — not bolted on afterwards.
Most smart home and networking work treats security as an afterthought. I prefer to start there.
01
Security-first, by default
Networks are segmented where appropriate, devices are reviewed and hardened against known defaults, and configuration follows current best practice. The same thinking a small enterprise would expect, sized for a home.
02
Academic credentials, competitive proof
Currently reading BSc Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics at UWE Bristol, and first place against professional and academic teams in a BAE Systems CTF competition.
03
Bristol-based, fully insured
Local, accountable, and covered — £2M public liability and £500K professional indemnity. If something goes wrong, there's a real person down the road to fix it.
04
Plain-English communication
No jargon walls and no condescension. You'll get a clear written summary of what was installed, what was changed, and exactly how to look after it.
